Ruth Wangari Muriuki is an agronomist and agricultural innovator with a remarkable track record in agriculture research, project management, training, and extension services. Her multifaceted expertise and dedication have consistently driven impactful initiatives across various sectors of the agricultural landscape in Kenya.
As the lead project officer at the Good People International funded by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), overseeing a dynamic Kenya Pyrethrum Project. She has developed comprehensive training materials for pyrethrum cultivation, drying technology and record-keeping, flower harvesting, pyrethrum drying, packaging, flower storage management, financial literacy, regenerative agriculture and environmental protection and sustainability.
She has collaborated with the Rinnesha group from Japan, OCP-Africa, and ADSWestern. These alliances have contributed to the commercialization of multiple projects. This demonstrates her prowess in bringing diverse stakeholders together for a common purpose.
Ruth currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, a Master of Science in Agronomy, and is a Doctor of Philosophy Agronomy candidate at Egerton University. She also has several scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals and several others under journals’ review
